Looked at the buttons and what they named them and then matched them to my warthog throttle. I have a Hornet stick, so it made the stick easier, but can be done with the viper stick. Open up the F15E controls menu and scroll down to HOTAS. To fix it and remove all the A-10 stuff from my F-15 config screen I simply had to reload the default.lua joystick files for the F-15 for both the throttle and joystick. After that I was off to the races. Since the TARGET script for the F-15C was so good already, I just decided to copy it as best as I could for the DCS world config. Between the A-10C, F-16, and F-18 I figure I’ve got about as good a replica set as I can get outside of paying govt prices for a military grade piece of hotas gear.Map your axes first, then the really obvious stuff like trigger, pickle, trim, stuff like that. Then just get into the training, and map stuff as it comes up. That's the most consistent way to build a good mapping that I've found. Yeah, that's what I've been doing too.
